KLUB KARTELL / MAL ÉLEVÉ / GANJAMAN / RAGGABUND Humanitäre Hilfe, Menschenrechte, Flüchtlingsschutz: 2022 erhebt KLUB KARTELL seine Stimme und zeigt Haltung. Ideenreich und musikalisch immer wieder überraschend, werden die fünf Kölner auch 2022 ihren Ruf bestätigen und fesselnden Reggae & Dancehall live auf ein neues Level heben. Alles vor dem Hintergrund der Frage: Kann Musik die Welt verändern? Um sie zu beantworten, holt sich die Band gleich vier Ausnahmekünstler ins Boot:
Live at YAAM, Berlin on April 12th 2017. GERMAN INFO: KLUB KARTELL sind in der Reggae- und Dancehall Szene inzwischen kein Geheimtipp mehr. In der klassischen jamaikanischen Backing-Band Besetzung (zwei Keyboarder, Gitarre, Bass und Drums), sind die fünf Kölner in der Lage fast jeden Sound zu realisieren und seit ihrem Bestehen ein Garant für impulsive und mitreißende Shows, voller Spielfreude und positiver Energie. Gegründet im Jahr 2016, aus Mitgliedern der Soul-Fire-Band und der Band des beim Kölner Label Rootdown gesignten Sängers Sebastian Sturm, begann man sich schnell einen eigenen Namen in der Reggae-Szene zu erarbeiten. Es folgten Kollaborationen und Gigs mit Mykal Rose (Black Uhuru), Dellé (SEEED), Flo Mega, Cali P, Ziggi Recado, Def Benski (Die Firma), Denham Smith u.a. Darüber hinaus initiierte man die Tropical Fire Party, eine Veranstaltungsreihe, bei der KLUB KARTELL mit jeweils wechselnden Artists bekannte Riddims neu interpretiert; dort und bei zahlreichen weiteres Klubgigs und Festivals erhielt das Publikum einen Eindruck davon, welche Spielfreude, Stilsicherheit und handwerkliches Können die Band besitzt. Alle Mitglieder sind gestandene Live- und Studiomusiker, die bereits in einer Vielzahl anderer Projekte Erfolge gefeiert haben (u.a. Cecilé, Christopher Martin, Ward21 uva). Musikalisch hat man sich in dieser Besetzung auf modernen Reggae und Dancehall nach jamaikanischem Vorbild spezialisiert. 2017 ist KLUB KARTELL bestens aufgestellt und bereit sich neuen Herausforderungen zu stellen.
